Chicago’s Tribune newspaper has website & insert for local news, called triblocal.com. This is a new publicity venue available to libraries in the western and southern Chicagoland areas. You may post a calendar, a photo, a story about things happening at the library to the website by town. I put things in Western suburbs, Oak Brook. My offerings may be picked up by the paper’s website reporter and a longer story written or it may be posted to another nearby town’s site or it may become an article in the print insert sent out with the paper once a week. Very cool, current and free!
